My husband and I stayed here with friends for four nights after we had been travelling around Sri Lanka. We ended up staying at the hotel for pretty much our whole four days there as we were enjoying relaxing and also there were government enforced curfews and things were difficult at that time. The hotel was large but because the staff were super nice so it always felt intimate. I was 5 months pregnant and always felt well looked after and cared for by the staff. Our room and bathroom was large with lovely character and a balcony. The rooms varied in size but all were comfortable. The rooms were well equipped with everything we needed and anything extra we just called reception for and they were very happy to come and sort anything. Our Aircon stopped working at 4am and a maintenance person came up immediately to look at it. Namal did a wonderful job freshening up our room every day, and we were always excited to see what creative bed decorations he'd left for each of us after breakfast. The breakfast was very good. We ate lunch at the pool bar every day and dinner at the restaurant every evening - these both had outside areas so we were able to always be outside. The food was good and a good price, but the menu was a little small to eat there every day! We enjoyed both pools very much. We played table tennis and tennis, but the net took a couple of days to be put up (it was in town being serviced) and there were only two rackets. We used the laundry service which was great and a very good price. We all had massages which were wonderful and the therapists were lovely, but it was expensive. The hotel provided a room for our driver for free and offered his meals for around £1 a meal, so obviously we were able to pay for that.

We booked for 2 nights unexpectedly as the election curfew messed with our original plans. The resort was mostly empty. It's not a full all-inclusive, meaning some guests pay a la carte. For the all-inclusive, the selection is OK - local spirits and a short list of cocktails. Wine is only served in the restaurant at lunch and dinner, which is weird. Food was good, but couldn't help the feeling that because it was not fully occupied the choice wasn't all there. The pool is nice, the beach is nearby (but not really a great beach, some serious surf). Rooms were OK, very clean, wifi was fast and the overall experience positive. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which helped a lot. The gym was also a welcome addition - nothing big or fancy but there to be used, which is always a nice touch.

When we arrived, the room was ready. We were served welcome drinks which were fresh fruit juices. The hotel room and the porch outside, overlooking the swimming pool and after that the sea, were very good. Baby cot and tub was provided on request. The premises of the hotel were vast, and roaming in and around the hotel was fun. There was live music in the evening for both the days that we were there. A la Carte Restaurant was very nice. They had the best Sri Lankan food that we tasted. Breakfast Buffet had many options, and multiple types of salads and sandwiches which we absolutely enjoyed.

I decided to book this place because I needed some peace of mind to relax and they proved it was the best choice. the staff are highly professional and they do more than the required to make you satisfied. Everywhere some disturbances may occur but the way they solve it is the most important thing so I would like to thank them for everything and especially Dilsha for everything she did with us. High quality Spa, super delicious food, outstanding hospitality, big room size, the property is built inside the nature so you can expect an exceptional atmosphere.

The hotel lobby is just breath taking, this hotel was chosen as a relaxation stop , which really did that, Our room was facing the sea in the first building what a super view we could hear the waves crashing on the shore, Had a great meal then went to listen to the saxophone player at the Bar he was superb what a talent, Their was also an artist selling his paintings so purchased 2 as it was his last night their .Breakfast was plentiful something for everyone , my son even managed a massage before we left. Thank you for the experience.
